The model "Happy families" is a set of 21 pairs of cufflinks created for 2016 theme "The Game". To be sold initially at colette Paris in December 2016, we got the idea to keep the families all together. So we were convinced, this model will be part of the collections of a French Museum in order to preserve " the peace into families !!

We are so pleased to announce that the model "Happy families" entered the national collections at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (Paris) in March 2018.

Here is "Happy families" story :

In the Pirates family, I'd like the sister, please!

This classic children's card game has one thing in common with cufflinks: pairs! The collection is therefore made up, appropriately, of 42 pieces, or 21 pairs, divided into 7 families, each of three generations. Each age has its corresponding age and material of choice.

Following the principle of the Archetype, brother and sister, at the beginning of their lives, are identified by a troca base; mother and father, in their prime, feature white mother of pearl, and the grandparents, in their twilight years, are represented by grey mother of pearl. The Black family, on the other hand, is made from black mina enamel. Each has its own distinctive sign, its character set into the coloured enamel. A detail, a recurring symbol, signals their belonging: a hat for the pirates, a helmet for the Gauls, a red nose for the clowns, ear-buds for generation 2.0, etc.

Yet all the members of this micro-society sport the same glass teddy-bear eyes, patiently collected by Samuel Gassmann: their childlike air of curiosity makes them instantly familiar.
